Bay Area Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) works to make neighborhood dreams a reality by working with cities, residents, nonprofit organizations, and key public and private partners to build the capacity of community revitalization efforts. Our transformative community-building work ranges from creating affordable housing and strong neighborhood business districts to leading community-driven neighborhood planning processes to supporting direct services for lower income families. This holistic approach draws upon all of our programs and resources to help neighbors build good places to live, do business, work, play, and raise families.

Bay Area LISC is part of a national organization that empowers local organizations by building local capacity and social capital, providing resources, and advancing policy change.  Our organization facilitates collaboration between local community development organizations and large institutions, including governments, foundations, and coalitions.

 

NExT is a cross-cutting program that draws upon all of Bay Area LISC's programs, which include:

* Americorps;

* Capacity Building through Trainings, Technical Assistance, and Tools;

* Neighborhood Revitalization of Local Economies;

* Financing of Affordable Housing, Commercial Space, and Community Facilities;

* Green Connection; and

* Regional and Statewide Policy.
